Section Conference 2021 was an amazing weekend for our lodge. We competed in all kinds of games and activities, winning 1st in the King’s Cup competition, 1st place in all 3 ceremonies (including achieving honor team), 1st place in the Adviser Sinkathon, 2nd place in the Website competition, and even placing in a few lodge vs lodge games and spirit competitions. But most of all, we all had a great weekend. Thank you to the host, Tipisa Lodge. We can’t wait for next section conference!

It is that time of the year again where the lodge begins to decide the recipients of our annual awards for the lodge banquet. We need your help to determine who is deserving of our different lodge awards this year. Please visit the google form here: https://forms.gle/
If you are curious about what each award is presented for, you can find a brief description here, on the awards page, and in the google form. If you know an Arrowman that is deserving of an award, please make a nomination. We do not have time to consider all 600+ people during the selection process. A nomination guarantees that your nominee will be discussed and considered. Thank you.
- Lodge Historian
This past weekend, at Camp Soule, the lodge gathered for its annual Winter Conclave! We saw over 100 members in attendance and everyone helped out in some way. A few of the service projects included pressure washing, picnic bench building, brush clearing, and fence building. Our Vice Chief of Operations, Sam, hosted a training on OA terminology and also headed up a large game of Ultimate Frisbee. The fellowship
activities continued throughout the
evening, including a movie and boardgames.
Sunday, a lodge business meeting was held in which the Bylaws Resolution was passed. You can view the new Bylaws here or navigate to the “Forms & Downloads” page.
Overall, we saw 24 new members join the Order and 5 members seal their membership with Brotherhood. It was a fantastic weekend that is sure to keep the lodge’s momentum rolling. In the words of our lodge adviser, Mr. Daggett, “one lodge, working to be one great lodge.”
The next lodge event will be Spring Fellowship at Sand Hill, February 26 – 28. Lodge elections, games, and more will take place. More information will come out as we get closer to the event, but registration is already open here. Remember, you must pay your 2021 dues to attend any event this year. You can pay your dues here.
The LEC conveined for their final meeting of the 2020 year last night and there were many things discussed. Attached Here are the full December LEC notes, but below are some quick highlights.
The LEC passed a motion that moves the attached bylaws (Lodge_Bylaws_Resolution_Winter_2020-21) to a lodge-wide vote at the Winter Conclave. The vote will take place on Sunday Morning at the Lodge Business Meeting. The current Bylaws can be found under the resources tab for reference as well. If you have any questions regarding these proposed changes, please contact the Lodge Bylaws Review Committee Chairman, Carson, at firstname.lastname@example.org
The Winter Conclave will be taking place January 8th through the 10th at Camp Soule. Expect fun games, trainings, and more in addition to the usual service projects. There will be a Broken Arrow ceremony taking place Saturday afternoon. Registration is now open, but you must pay your 2021 dues prior to registering. Registration will close 1 week before the event.
A Year’s End – A Thriving Lodge!
The Lodge has officially recharted as a thriving lodge! Think of the thriving lodge as a Journey to Excellence equivalent in scouting. It means we’ve gone above expectations and achieved great heights as an organization, all during a pandemic. Not many lodges achieved thriving status this year, but Mr. Daggett has already charged the LEC with reaching High Performing status next year. Overall, it’s been a great year in the lodge, and on behalf of the LEC and the Lodge Chief, we’d like to wish you a Happy Holiday Season!
While it may have been delayed and moved online, Echockotee Lodge put on a stellar Section Conference event. The trainings were informative, but they managed to pack some good competition in with a Section S-4 Kahoot and an around your home Scavenger hunt. The Section elections still took place, and Adam L has been elected our new Section Chief. You can read more about that on the Section S-4 website here.
For Lodge competitions, we competed in multiple categories including Best All Around Lodge and the Section Website Competition. We placed 1st in the Section Website Competition.
Currently, Section Conference 2021 is scheduled for April 9-11, 2021 and will be hosted by Tipisa Lodge at camp La-No-Chee. This can still change depending on the world situation as we approach the date, so stay tuned for more information.
